A little hello from the orchard 🤗
This last weekend of May it got really hot here… so we brought out the water tank! When the sun beats down like that, the trees get thirsty, and it is best not to wait around.
We pampered the young trees in particular 🌱 They are the most fragile ones: their roots are still short and cannot reach water deep down. A good watering now is what helps them get through the big heat and settle in well for the seasons to come.
And as often around here, it was a family affair: young and old lent a hand (well… mostly the grown-ups 😄). Even the littlest ones joined in, comfortably settled in the tractor!
That is some fresh news from our orchard 🍒 We are crossing our fingers that this lovely warmth ripens the cherries nice and gently. We will share the opening dates as soon as we can on our Facebook page. See you very soon!
